ABOUT
ABOUT
In keeping with our passion and commitment to sustainable landscape design for the last 37 years, Andropogon is pleased to announce the launch of the new online home for our Integrative Research Department, that will guide the succession of the firm into its 4th decade. Although embedding the best, most recent scientific knowledge into our landscape practice has always been a critical step in our design process, this new complementary department enables us to rigorously review our past and present landscape interventions to inform future projects and the design community. This website serves as a web portal that will host Andropogon’s almost 40 year old archive of sustainable, research-aided design, in addition to providing a platform for sharing research progress and establishing partnerships. We look forward to and welcome collaboration with others in our mission to promote sustainable, equitable landscape design.
HISTORY
HISTORY
“While sustainability is a goal, no one yet knows how to achieve it. The act of sustainable planning and design is a heuristic process: that is, one in which we learn by doing, by carefully observing and recording the changing conditions and consequences of our actions while focusing on the long-term goals.”
Carol Franklin.
